FAQ's

  • What do I need to wear ?
Jeans and closed shoes.  No scarves/open jackets.  Tie up long hair.
  • Can I bring my own helmet ?  
We provide helmets and balaclavas (for hygiene reasons) for adults and children
  • What must I organise before the booking ?
All you need to do is make sure your staff/clients/friends arrive. We take control of the entire event once everybody has arrived.  We sort drivers out into teams, we organise drivers into Karts etc.
  • What are your operating hours ?

Open 7 days a week.
Monday - Fridays 11am 'til 8pm
Saturdays - 10am - 8pm
Sundays and Public holidays - 11am 'til  6pm
We do open eralier or stay later for Corporate Functions

  • From what age can children race on your track ?   events_01.gif
From the age of 6/7 upwards. Children must be able to reach the peddles - about 1.2m. The price remains the same for children and adults.

We host many children's birthday parties and family functions at Randburg Raceway. We run a controlled race, with marshalls, on the track who assit the drivers.  A drivers vriefing is given to everyone before getting into the cars. Children are encouraged to take it slowly and build up confidence and they soon get the hang of it.
  • Can I bring my own cake and party food ?           events_01.gif
Yes you are most welcome to bring a cake or some party eats. We have a kiosk that provides cold drinks, chips, sweets and ice cream.  We can arrange boerewors rolls as well.
  • Can I bring my own birthday party packs ?          events_01.gif  
Yes you can, but we do supply a great party pack with an assortment of sweets and chips for R 25.00.  What's even better is that each party pack has a promotion so that the child can come at a later date and pay for one race and receive one race free !
  • What else is there to do at Randburg Raceway ?
We have an open grass area where young children can kick a soccer ball. Birthday Moms can arrange for jumping castles for the young ones to play on. We also have a braai area which you can make us of, bring your own braai coals, fire lighters, meats and salads.  We provide tables and chairs. Bring your family and friends to socialise after racing. We also have a kiosk that sells, cold drinks, waters, liquifruits, chocolates, chips and ice creams. Pizzas and burgers can be ordered and delivered by nearby establishments.
  • What happens if it is raining ?
Because we are indoor, weather does not affect our customers.  So come sunshine or rain, winter or summer, you are guaranteed to have your fun on the track.
  • How many people can our venue accommodate ?
We can accommodate up to 80 people racing.  We have had more people on the premises as spectators. There is parking both in the parking area in front of the building as well as on our property down below where cars can park on the grass inside.
  • Are you open on public holidays ?
We are open on all public holidays throughout the year.  We only cose over Christmas and New Year.
  • Is there a weight restriction ?
There is not so much of a weight restriction but rather the size of your beer bop.  Tall men with a large frame fit into our karts but if someone has a particularly large beer bop they may not fit between the seat and the steering wheel.
  • What specials do you offer ?

On Mondays we do a 2 for 1 - pay for 1 x 10 minute and get a 1 x 10 minute race free.  Special is not applicable on public holidays.  
School children holiday special - during weekdays only - pay for 2 x 10 minute races and get 1 x 10 minute race freee.

  • How many people can race on the track at the same time ?
We race a maximum of 6 drivers at a time.
