Randburg Raceway

It is ideal for integrating staff and clients and gives people the opportunity to informally get to know each other. We can accommodate up to 80 people quite comfortably for a function.

The event is designed around everybody having fun. All races are professionally run by experienced Race Controllers who take control of the event, from start to finish. Each function is guaranteed to be a success and your clients and staff will remember the function long after the adrenaline has worn off.

Randburg Raceway is an extremely popular birthday party venue. We recommend children from the age of 10 years and older, however we have raced children younger than this. Children must be at least 1.2 m tall to be able to reach the pedals. During the week we can accommodate much younger children as we then have more time to coach the kids and a Safety Marshal is available to assist them. For safety reasons children are not allowed to sit on the laps of parents, but it is possible with small groups that a Safety Marshal sits on the side of the kart and controls the kart. Children who cannot reach the pedals sufficiently or cannot control the kart will not be allowed to drive.

Drivers are to wear closed shoes and long pants. Loose clothing or items must be removed or secured i.e. no scarves, open jackets or cellphones. Drivers with long hair should ensure that it is tied up or tucked into the back of their shirts.

Our Snack Bar is available where we have refreshments, chips, sweets, chocolate, ice cream, hot dogs, toasted sandwiches, cake of the day, tea and coffee. You are welcome to bring your own birthday cake. Birthday party packs are also available for sale (subject to availability). Braai facilities are also available.

We can race 5 children at a time. Bookings are important. When booking please specify the number of children and the number of races each child will do. The different options for racing are as follows:

Option 1 is the 10 min race, the cost is R 120.00 per child and in 10 minutes kids will do about 20 laps. We do accommodate other races in between or after your childrens races giving your children time to have something to eat.

Option 2 is to book the track for a 1 or 2 hour period. Drivers are requested to arrive 30 minutes prior to the racing to ensure that we can brief the children. The kids will then have the full use of 5 karts for that 1 or 2 hour period.

An indemnity form needs to be filled out in full for each child racing, with the parents signature. In the event of a guardian signing on behalf of the parent, parents approval must be obtained. Indemnity forms can be obtained by email from us prior to raceday if required.
